  12. I'm thinking about getting a G-Force *040* 33MHz board (with 8megs), and was wondering
  13. if anyone had problems with any software running with it.  Also, Someone mentioned
  14. having GVP's *030* board problems with the Picasso II board.

  16. I have a 2000 with a picasso II board.  Anybody know of problems using the 040 that
  17. I'm thinking about in regards to the same problem Michael mentions below about his 030?
  18. I also have a GVP scsi II card with 2 mb of 16bit ram on it and a gururom on it.
  19. Should this pose a problem with the G-Force combo and picasso II working together?

  37. Ok, Now I have an interesting problem.  I have a GForce 030 running at 40 
  38. mhz with 12 megs 32bit fast ram.  I have to run it all as extended so the 
  39. Picasso II will work.  Well, now when I use GVPCPUCTRL FASTROM, I 
  40. experience several crashes.  Back before I got the Picasso and the extra 
  41. 4 megs memory, I had all 8 auto-configed and GVPCPUCTRL FASTROM gave me 
  42. no problem.  I haven't tried it with 8 megs auto-configured and 4 megs 
  43. extended as then I'd lose the Picasso II again.  Would the Picasso II be 
  44. causeing the problem?  I guess I could try taking it out and then trying 
  45. to use GVPCPUCTRL FASTROM and seeing if it crashes.

  47. This is the location it says it relocates it to $01B80000. I have no 
  48. problems at all using CPU FASTROM, though it doesn't print where it 
  49. relocates the rom.

  51. The strange thing is, after I have been using the computer for awhile, I 
  52. put GVPCPUCTRL Fastrom back in user-startup and it'll work everytime I 
  53. re-boot.  But after it has been turned off, for awhile then turned on, 
  54. it'll crash upon bootup, and crash on each re-boot after.  So I guess 
  55. I'll stick with Commodores CPU, even though it doesn't seem as fast as 
  56. with GVPCPUCTRL.

  58. Would the Guru-Rom correct this, or is it a memory location conflict with 
  59. the Picasso II?
